Planning or Procrastinating?

I know my mission.  I have a vision.  I plan action steps to move myself closer to my goals on a scheduled basis.  I don't execute my scheduled tasks 100% of the time though.  Some days, I just don't feel like it - for whatever reason (excuse).  I may switch days and do easier tasks, letting the bigger, scarier ones to build up to an intimidating "CATCH UP TO-DO LIST".

Does this happen to you?  Now I tackle this by planning how I will accomplish the pile of tasks to do.  I plan and I plan...  I don't finish the list.  I spend too much time sorting through to do lists full of duplicate reminders - instead of time DOING said reminders.

I have to remember a tip for office management:  don't touch the same paper twice.  Do it.  Right Now.  To Completion.  Next.  ACTION toward the goal.  Doing this brings positive feelings to the "work", which propels me to and through the next task...

I am grateful for the time my inaction / procrastination allows me to plan, and refine the plan.  This has provided the chance for a better use of time or material.  The opposite of this time to think, is impulsive action - usually based on emotion.  To be on  either extreme end of the spectrum in this comparison is not a desirable thing; however, to find the balance of planning and execution, is a key to SUCCESS.
