How to Take Control of Your Network Marketing Business

 A lot of positive and negative reports about network marketing and businesses operating within this framework are available. Do yourself a favour and research the word 'network marketing' on the internet - Google it! Read the articles and reviews available 5 pages deep. You will find reports that claim that it is the only way to wealth and riches but you will also find the 'schemes, scams and pyramid' claims! 

This article is not about convincing anybody whether Network Marketing works or not. That in itself is a non-sensible debate. Business, any business can work or fail. What is really important is to make sure that whatever business venture we embark on, is successful in the end! And the only way to do that is to stay in control of your business right from the start. 

It is imperative that you control the planning, the operations, the measurements, the management, the cost and ultimately naturally the success. People in general do not understand this and that is why we fall into the trap of reading Internet reports that will derail us to the extent that we lose control of our business ( and also indirectly our lives) and fail! 

In order to take control of your business you must understand that you are accountable, no one else but you! And accountability is nothing more than being liable for one's actions. Too often we play the 'blame game'. Network Marketing does not work! Or my 'up-line' conned me! Or the Network Marketing's products are too expensive! It is simply finding excuses to prove why we fail at doing something. Justifying why we did not take the action we should have. Almost like hiding behind the excuse to not be exposed as someone who is ineffective or even lazy! Let's face it anything in life will work with enough sound planning, committed dedication and consistent pursuing of the goal. 

Things in life only do not work when people do not work. In order to make our new ventures to work we must decide upfront to take accountable for every action we take. And when it does not work we must recognise our own failure, be accountable and change what need to be changed - be brutally honest with yourself. 

Control also needs us to be responsible! Responsibility, also known as 'self responsibility', is the acknowledgment that we, through our thinking, feeling and behaving, are in control of how we experience life. Look at the word responsibility - 'response-ability'. It is the ability to choose our response. Highly proactive people recognize that responsibility. They do not blame circumstances, conditions, or conditioning for their behaviour. Their behaviour is a product of their own conscious choice, based on values, and not a product of their conditions, based on feeling. 

We need to understand that we all have an inner voice that determines how we react to certain conditions outside of ourselves. But that is hard! Most people ignore that inner voice, like a cop-out and rather look for answers outside themselves to why they feel and act the way they do. Think about it this way. No matter what happens to us, in our businesses, the event that takes place has no meaning until we add our own response. As an example you start marketing your business opportunity and your results are very poor, most people won't even listen to you. That is the event. You chose to add the response of 'this does not work' mixed with all the failure emotions and before you know it your entire business failed. 

Taking responsibility for your own business really involves giving up the 'blame game'. It will be necessary to change your own core beliefs. Responsibility is in no doubt extremely challenging at times. But it's worth it! If you can let go of foolish thoughts and work at changing core beliefs, you will free yourself to create the life you dream of - in every area of your life and especially in your Network Marketing business. 

To take control of your Network Marketing Business then involves applying the simple formula of: Accountability plus Responsibility equals Control. I want to encourage you today to take control of your business back! Evaluate and determine where you are and if you are not having the results you aimed for, become honest! Honest with yourself and find the reasons in yourself. The moment you look at or mention any outside reason, remind yourself that you will remain accountable and responsible; that you will not cop-out. The solution to your Network Marketing Business is closer than you thought - it is within you! Be encourage to take control off your business!
