Choosing An Online Business Opportunity - Why You Must Ask These 10 Questions

Are you searching for an Online Business Opportunity?

Do you dream of having the freedom to work from home?

Would you like to write your own paycheck?

Or maybe you are struggling in an MLM company and are looking for a way to "make it work".

Whatever your reason for looking into a new online business opportunity, before you commit there are ten very important questions you should ask.

1. Is This A Real Business Opportunity? First and foremost, it is important to realize that an online business is the same as an offline or brick and mortar business. Both require a business plan, capital, and lots of hard work. There is no such thing as a "get rich free" opportunity. If someone is promising you this, you should walk away because it is not a legitimate opportunity.

2. What Are You Selling? Is the product in demand? Is it recession proof? An example I would give would be health food products, specifically water. Although this may seem like a great opportunity, does the world need another form of bottled water?

3. What Kind Of Compensation Plan Does It Have? This is where Top Tier Direct Sales usually out does traditional MLM companies. Essentially what you should be looking for is a plan that will pay you both a high up front commission as well as high residuals. This is how you not only put some money in your pocket (that you can put back into your business to cover your marketing expenses) but also how you begin to build the residual income that we are all after.

4. Does The Business Have A Solid Effective Marketing System? There was a time when all you needed were 200 of your closest friends and family. Gone are those days, we have entered into a new era where countless leads can be sourced with a little hard work and a computer. Ideally this system would be reproducible, cutting edge and always improving following the current trends in online marketing.

5. Does The Company Have Proper Management?  Who is managing the company? What are their credentials? How long has the company been in the industry? What is the track record? What are the long-term goals? Will it be around in 5 years, 10 years? Is the company a "Trusted Site" with the Online Business Bureau? All of these questions are very important to ask during due diligence. What is important here is to trust your gut. If it seems like a scam, it likely is. Trust your instincts.

6. Is The Company Global? This is the information age and this next point is a rather exciting one if you ask me. Does the company have a plan for global expansion? The evolution of the Internet had changed the way we do business. If the company you are researching does not have a plan for global expansion, you may want to reconsider. You don't want to be left behind in an ever changing and evolving industry. Not to mention the opportunity to literally make money while you sleep.

7. Does The Company Have A "Service" Approach To Business? Does the company give back? Is it committed to providing value to society? Is the company committed to fostering a community, and culture of Leadership? Whether a company is socially responsible says a lot about the company's integrity. I personally, would prefer to align myself with a company that is focused on honesty, integrity, value, service, and a commitment to building Leaders, as I believe these to be core values.

8. Is There Ongoing Training And Support? Training and support is vital to the success of your business. Without either you are left to navigate on your own, struggling to invent and in some cases, reinvent the wheel. What if you could find a business that had not only training and support but encouraged a family like atmosphere? A place where you could access, and talk to people who were selling and marketing the same product(s) as you. A place to troubleshoot, brainstorm and mastermind together. A place where those who are successful, become your mentor and openly share their knowledge with the rest of the community and are invested in, and committed to your success.

9. Am I Ready To Work Hard And Commit Time? If you have never been self-employed or owned a business, the amount of work involved, and time it takes to run it can come as a shock. The important thing to remember is that it often breaks down to one simple rule if you will. If you choose not to work, you likely won't make any money. It's as simple as that. Not to say that you can't take time off, but having an online business takes great discipline, dedication, commitment and a burning desire to succeed, whatever the cost. It's also important to note at this point that the amount of time you invest in running your business often will dictate it's success or failure. If you are looking for a little extra cash and are spending only a few hours here and there then great. If you are looking to really create the life of your dreams and are only willing to invest a few hours, you will likely never achieve the results you are looking for. Any Online Business requires MASSIVE ACTION to succeed.

10. Am I Willing To Become The Person I Need To Be To Succeed? To find true success in business, there are generally improvements we all need to make. Typically we all need to improve in the areas of time management, motivation, discipline, mindset, work ethic, accountability, commitment and so on. What is often required is a paradigm shift(s) of sorts. It all boils down to the old saying: "If you want things in your life to change, you're going to have to change things in your life." When I was looking into Online Business Opportunities, these were many of the questions I had and more. With so many spammers and scammers out there, it is hard to decipher the good, from the bad and the ugly. If the business you are looking into can't answer the majority of these questions to your satisfaction, I would recommend that you do a little more research, dig deeper and keep looking. Trust yourself, you will find the perfect fit.
